Las Vegas CCW PERMIT CLASS

The state of Nevada issues Concealed Weapons Permits to both residents and non-residents. Obtaining a CCW permit allows permit holders to carry a concealed handgun on their person, in their cars, and on public property.

Where to Acquire Permits

Fingerprints for CCW permits may only be issued by Metro Police of Las Vegas. Private fingerprinting sites are not permitted to process fingerprints for concealed weapons permits in Nevada.

Other states do allow private fingerprinting locations to do fingerprints for CCW applications. Please see your paperwork and make sure it does not have to be done by a law enforcement agency.

CCW Class

It is mandatory for all applications to first complete an 8-hour Nevada CCW class on the laws regarding carrying a concealed weapon. Following that class, you must submit an application to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.
